Hello Mike:
It doesn’t seem like a stupid question to me. I can easily answer in regard to Canada: I’ve been in every province except Newfoundland, and one of the two territories, the Yukon, not the Northwest. There’s only one way to do this regarding the U.S. I’ve been to: Washington, Oregon, California, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, North Carolina (not South Carolina), Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Wisconsin–God forbid I should look at a map–Kentucky, Tennessee, North Virginia (not South Virginia). I haven’t been to Georgia, oddly. Oh, I’ve also been to Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington, D.C. I haven’t been to Rhode Island or Delaware. I’m sure I’m missing something. I’ve been to a few countries in Europe, and Eastern Europe, but I’ve never been anywhere in Asia. I’ve been to South America and Africa, both briefly.
When W.C. Fields is about to be hung in My Little Chickadee, they ask, “Do you have a last request?” He says, “Yes, I’d like to see Paris before I die.” I’ve been there.
